  • Charity Concierge spirit couldn’t be dampened by the rain at Download festival

“It was definitely as difficult as it could have been” conceeded Holly as she returned to the Child.org office with a soggy Charity Concierge HQ gazebo, a horrible cold and a massive grin on her face.
Download Festival 2016, described in news stories as the wettest ever, was hit by torrential rain last weekend. But nothing could dampen the spirits of the Child.org team of Chris, Clare, Holly and Hannah, there to run Charity Concierge at our first festival of 2016, and our first ever Download.

The team were joined by an incredible army of 80 volunteers who worked in all weathers, braving the rain to raise thousands of pounds for Child.org. Thousands were raised in just a few days by our amazing concierges, which will have a transformative effect on Child.org and our ability to change the lives of more children.
To make even more of an impact, every pound raised by Charity Concierges is matched by our partners at Festival Republic, so everything we raised is worth double to the children we’re here to support.
Here are some photographs, many of them taken in the sunny tent-erecting days before the rain hit:
