Edinburgh Marathon 2027
The Edinburgh Marathon is one of the most spectacular road marathons in the UK, and has been voted the fastest marathon in the country by Runner’s World. The route takes you past Edinburgh’s iconic landmarks, before opening up to breathtaking views along the East Lothian coastline.
Part of the wider Edinburgh Marathon Festival weekend, the atmosphere of this marathon is electric from start to finish. And when you run it for Child.org, every step you take helps protect the lives of pregnant women and babies in Kenya.

Why run the Edinburgh Marathon for Child.org?
In Kenya, 16 mothers and 29 newborns die every day during pregnancy and childbirth.
Most of these deaths are completely preventable.
Child.org works to make pregnancy and birth safer for women and babies. To do this, we work with communities and government in Kenya to improve access to, and quality of, critical maternal and child health services.
By running the Edinburgh Marathon, you will not only raise critical funds to support our work, but also become part of a community of changemakers; championing a kinder, fairer and safer world for women and their babies.
How we will support you during the Edinburgh Marathon
Child.org is a small, friendly and passionate team of seasoned fundraisers with a long history of supporting challenge event participants. We really value taking the time to get to know our runners so that we can support you in the best way possible.
