Between October 2020 and January 2021, we ran our second-ever Team Mum campaign to arm more mums with life-saving health information.

Whether it was cycling the countryside, running everyday, walking along the coast, hosting virtual cook-a-longs, running your own online quizzes, taking on dry January during lockdown, buying a boob, decluttering for good, or simply sharing our posts on social media - you did it all. Over the past four months, supporters old and new united around the power of mums and the results are worth shouting far and wide.

We're thrilled to announce that, with your brilliant support, we smashed our original target.

Check out this video of our founders and trustees, Dan and Beccy, announcing how much we've raised during the appeal and why this feat is so amazing.

Taking Team Mum to new heights.

Over the course of the campaign, we continued to spread the Team Mum message across the UK and beyond. We partnered with marketplace app Shpock for their first-ever charity partnership. They encouraged millions of their users to list pre-loved items and donate the proceeds to Team Mum. We also set up our very own Child.org charity shop within the app, selling lovely digital gift certificates and kid's treasure hunts!

New Scientist encouraged their millions of followers on social media to join #TeamMum, highlighting the importance of reaching young mums in Kenya. They also generously donated a portion of the proceeds from their face mask sales to Child.org.

We hosted virtual Big Fat Christmas parties for companies big and small across the UK, ran special edition Spectacular Quarantine Quizzes, and sold hundreds of Halloween and Christmas-themed family activity packs, designed by the brilliant Ellie Dawes.

All to ensure more mums have access to life-changing information and care.

The money raised during this appeal is going to help us launch a brand new Baby Box project in Kwale, Kenya this spring, reaching 500 new mums. We’ll be using the boxes as an incentive to encourage mums to attend postnatal care and to provide vital safe-sleeping information. You can find out more about the incredible results of our 2018 Baby Box pilot project in Nairobi here

None of it would be possible without you.

A big thank you to each and every one of our brilliant supporters and volunteers for making this appeal such a tremendous success. Our journey continues and we’re grateful to have you along for the ride. We’ll be sharing more about the new Baby Box project, Pregnant Women’s Groups in Meru, MamaTips, and more soon so watch this space...
