Hello, thank you so much if you're reading this - that means you might be just about to donate! I am taking on Ride Africa as ride ambassador this November. Ride Africa is a 450km ride through rural Kenya over six days. Forget strava segments, carbon road bikes, and coffee shops - this will be an almighty challenge and will take me completely out of my cycling bubble and comfort zone. I'll be contending with heat, hills, off-road riding and Africa's wildlife... And I cannot wait to get stuck in!
Child.org are a small charity dedicating to doing what works for young people and their families, and most recently are targeting vulnerable girls and women and their babies. Rides in 2019 and 2020 are specifically helping to fund and support the creation of sustainable pregnancy support groups in the rural region of Meru in Kenya where tragically 1 in 26 babies die before their first birthday.
Please donate as much as you can. Every penny will make a huge difference.
What am I doing?
I will be riding across Kenya with other riders from around the world to raise money for Child.org.

In Kenya, one in 26 babies don't live to see their first birthday. Team Mum fundraising supports Child.org's work to arm new mums with the health information and support they need to keep themselves, and their babies safe. This year, Team Mum fundraising will launch pregnancy support groups for adolescent mums in Kenya and a brand new Baby Box project.

About Child.org
Child.org exists to spark progress in global child health.
We do that by discovering, designing and delivering solutions that keep children alive and healthy. The work we do generates discoveries and insights that help everyone to support the health of children more effectively.
We work in some of the toughest places in the world to grow up.
Whether it’s improving quality of care, providing reliable transport, or helping mums understand the benefits of delivering their baby in a safe environment, we work closely with local communities to create long-lasting change. We do what works.
